Barn & Belle presenteren 'A Very A-Merry-Cana Christmas'-Show
Op vrijdag 23 december a.s. presenteert Americana en Roots duo Barn & Belle, Winnaars van The Dutch Blues Challenge 2022, een speciale kerstshow in de Cellebroederskapel, te Maastricht
Met hun kerstshow willen Barn & Belle bezoekers terugbrengen naar kerst uit vroegere tijden.
“Er is maar een handje vol kerstliedjes écht bekend.’ vertelt Jesse, “Er zijn door de jaren heen ontzettend veel mooie kerstliedjes geschreven waar niemand ooit van gehoord heeft. Die willen wij laten horen.” Een ding is zeker; Liefhebbers van Swing, Roots, Blues, Country, Americana, Folk én natuurlijk Kerstmis hun hart ophalen bij deze avondvullende voorstelling.
Tijdens hun studie op het conservatorium van Maastricht vond het duo elkaar in de liefde voor Americana, Ragtime en Swing. Ook de kerstshow zit, zoals de titel al doet vermoeden, vol met Americana. Sommige songs komen van oorsprong uit de Roots en sommige songs worden speciaal voor deze avond met een Americana sausje geserveerd. “We willen dat bezoekers uiteindelijk met een heerlijk kerstig gevoel naar huis toe gaan.” voegt Lea toe.
The Blues Crew
De support wordt deze avond verzorgt door niemand minder dan The Blues Crew. Speciaal voor deze avond trakteren zij het publiek op een prachtige akoestische set met authentieke old skool- en country-blues.

On December 23rd Americana and Roots duo Barn & Belle, winners of the Dutch Blues Challenge 2022, present a special christmasshow in the Cellebroederskapel, Maastricht.
With their Christmas show, Barn & Belle want to bring visitors back to Christmas from days gone by.
“Only a handful of Christmas songs are really known.” Jesse says, “A lot of beautiful Christmas songs have been written over the years that no one has ever heard of. We play these songs for the audience.” One thing is certain; Musiclovers that like Swing, Roots, Blues, Country, Americana, Folk and of course Christmas can indulge themselves in this special performance.
During their studies at the Maastricht Conservatory, the duo found each other in their love for Americana, Ragtime and Swing. The Christmas show is also, as the title suggests, full of Americana. Some songs find their origin in the Blues & Roots, while other songs are served with an Americana twist especially for this evening. “We want visitors to eventually go home with a wonderful Christmas-y feeling.” Lea adds.
The supporting act will be none other than ‘The Blues Crew.
