Zondag 10 september start het nieuwe concertseizoen van Roots Unlimited bij d’n Hiemel met het gratis Muziek aan de Maas-festival. Top of the bill zijn vanaf 19.00 uur de Amerikaanse roots-rockers Jeffrey Halford & the Healers. Voorafgaand spelen Flinthill Souvenirs (15.00-16.30u), R.A. Jug Band(16.30-17.00u) en The Blues Crew (17.00-18.30u).
Entrée is gratis, aanvang 15.00 uur.

Texaan Halford verhuisde op jonge leeftijd naar San Francisco waar hij zijn muzikale carrière begon als straatmuzikant en als begeleider van Oakland-blueslegendes Sonny Lane, Mississippi Johnny Waters en J.J. Malone. De afgelopen decennia toerde de gitarist Halford door de VS en Europa met zijn band, The Healers(Adam Rossi – keys & drums (!) en bassist Mike Anderson) met hun eigen, zeer aanstekelijke mix van blues, roots & rock.

MAASTRICHT - Sunday September 10, the new concert season of Roots Unlimited at d'n Hiemel starts with the FREE Muziekaan de Maas festival. Top of the bill from 7 pm are the American roots rockers Jeffrey Halford & the Healers. Before playing Flinthill Souvenirs & Friends (3-4.30pm), R.A. Jug Band(4.30pm-5pm) and The Blues Crew & Friends (5pm-6.30pm). Entrance is free, starting at 3 p.m.

Texan Halford moved to San Francisco at a young age where he began his musical career as a busker and accompanist to Oakland blues legends Sonny Lane, Mississippi Johnny Waters and J.J. Malone. In recent decades, guitarist Halford has toured the US and Europe with his band, The Healers (Adam Rossi – keys & drums (!) and bassist Mike Anderson) with their own, highly infectious mix of roots, blues & rock.More info: www.rootsunlimited .NL
